The storage shelving is supported by beams in a design that raises the center of gravity of the unit so it can support very heavy weight loading without being unstable for loading and unloading. Both closed back and open back shelving are micro-coated with iron phosphate and painted with baked-on enamel. This adaptation is known as 'box shelving' and it's often used to construct industrial shelving which can support as much as 2,000 lbs in weight.
